Programme et Intervenants > Le comité d'organisation

We are five PhD students at the Health and Life Sciences Doctoral School (ED414) of the University of Strasbourg. We are supervised by Dr. Frederic Gros, head of th study council of the Doctoral School.

Elise Perennes

After obtaining a nurse degree, I have found a new direction in research. I did a master degree in chemistry, biology, and drugs at the university of Strasbourg and am currently a 1st year PhD student in Bioengineering at UMR-1260, in Jessel’s team (CRBS, Strasbourg). My PhD project aims to regenerate bone tissue in rare disease WNT10A. Still having some energy, I am training myself to run a marathon.

Jade Brochon

After a degree in biology, I followed my passion for the study of human diseases and graduated with a master’s degree in biomedicine in Strasbourg. I am currently a 2nd year PhD student at the Institute for Translational Medicine and Liver Diseases Inserm UMR_S1110. My research aims to improve liver cancer therapy by studying new potentials targets.

Maxime Ledoux-Vanek

I obtained my bachelor’s in Life Sciences from the university of Nice Côte d’Azur before moving to Strasbourg and obtaining a Masters in Biomedical Research. I am now in the second year of my PhD at the IGBMC working on the mechanisms of mRNA export.

Pualani Ateni

I did all my studies in Biology at the University of Strasbourg and obtained a Master degree in Immunology and Inflammation. By competing in front of a jury composed of academic reseachers and industrials, I obtained, in collaboration with another lab, a PhD funding to develop a new drug against Dengue virus. Before this adventure in Metropolitan France, I used to be a professional dancer back in Tahiti. Therefore, I am also trying to perpetuate Tahitian culture abroad by teaching Tahitian dance on week-ends.

Enrico Bocconetti

I graduated from the University of Rome La Sapienza with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. I then obtained a Master’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Milan Bicocca, with an experimental thesis in applied microbiology carried out at the Dutch company Wetsus. I have always been fascinated by the potential for innovative and environmentally friendly applications that biology, and microorganisms in particular, can offer to solve the challenges facing society. This has led me to join the AIME team (GMGM, UMR 7156), where I am currently in the second year of my PhD, carrying out research in the field of environmental microbiology on the bioremediation of PFAS.
